Project -RP- Preview

Here's a sweet sneak peak ("sweet peak") of the new, revised version of code name "RP", a one-shot manga written by Ben Beckham and conceptualized and drawn by Panic Rayne I uploaded this WIP for my good friend and supporter of my works , and for anyone else who might wanna see what I've been up to outside of dA Plus I can't stand the feeling that some of you might be thinking that I'm a procrastinating, all-talk, and overly ambitious bastard who's always talking about making manga and big dreams but never really does anything Well, so far, no one's said anything like that to my face, and I know I should have more faith on my friends (you guys), but I tend to assume and do things on a whim, my hyperactive imagination really is my greatest enemy


So this is Page 8 of the manuscript, it was drawn at around early August (I've been delayed too much 'cause of college, procrastination, and my recent ordeal with Death), and it's probably the best page that I've done so far (I'm at page 13 now). It's also my favorite, simply 'cause its the first time I used a dynamic angle with my current style, AND this is probably the first time I did a drawing from this angle and perspective and actually liked the outcome, the only time I've ever truly felt that I improved


The details of the story will be kept secret, except to a select few that have seen the old version through e-mail and who I'm willing to show it to I've slowed the pace down a bit, and I'm gonna give most of the cool scenes bigger space (or even their own pages) so I can have more creative room to showcase the art, to match Beckham's awesome writing So, the pages will probably expand from 40 to 60 or more! I'm not really supposed to be inking them yet since I still have like 40+ pages to sketch, I just do it for when I like the outcome of certain scenes and don't want to make any further changes.


I might never fully upload the whole comic here, 'cause I have bigger plans for this work (aiming for publication) and it's only 1/8 finished, but I would love to fully show it to all of you someday. My dream is to create stories that are different from what readers are used to (I honestly think we have too many disproportionate ecchi manga with silly humor and stories that have no direction) but most people can enjoy, and to change people's perception of manga , 'cause I know that there are manga haters out there who assume and dismiss ALL manga as exactly how I described it on the parenthesis. They need to read some old school shit like Naoki Urasawa and Takehiko Inoue's works to know what the standard was back in the days, and THEN say that manga is amateurish and not creative
